THE DESIGN STORY
The Gaia Garnet Necklace is strung with mother of pearl in two different sizes, each stone carrying subtle variations in tone and texture that make every necklace unique.
Named after Gaia, the ancient Greek personification of the Earth, the necklace draws on the natural shapes of the pearls which are all shaped organically different.
Gaia is an understated study in natural forms and material - but also an ode to the versatility of nature. Tactile, timeless, and made to be worn alone or layered with other YSSO pieces.

Produced in a family run workshop of 7 workmen and women, our pieces are exclusively carved and crafted by hand in Athens, using Ancient Greek jewellery-making techniques and silversmithing. As champions of slow production, we create only small quantities per design. If a piece is sold out you are welcome to place a pre-order, which has a three week turnaround period, for a piece to be made exclusively for you.
