Craftsmanship is at the very heart of our brand. We work exclusively with one of the oldest family-run workshops in Athens dedicated to preserving Greece’s goldsmithing and traditional jewellery making techniques. Having built our collections over the span of 10 years collaborating with the same workshop that we still produce at to this day, our craftsmen are at the core of our brand.
Our ‘workshop-to-wearer’ approach, means that we personally visit our atelier on a daily basis and have close and direct contact with all elements of production.
Responsibility & Sustainability
By taking a more considered approach, we aim to reduce the significant risks and challenges posed by mass production to the survival of artisanal skills and to the planet. YSSO jewellery carries on the stories of craftsmen and the knowledge passed down for generations. Each piece is as unique as the hands that made it.
We prioritise the use of recycled and locally-sourced materials in addition to employing environmentally conscious production techniques.
A Human Story
The UN refers to craftsmanship as the most important manifestation of intangible cultural heritage. It is the core of our mission the advocacy and evolution of the ‘made in Greece’ ethos in jewellery-making. Aside from creating jobs, the very existence of artisanal creation says a lot about who we are as people and where we sit in society as a whole. The same way art and music nurture our soul, craft tells stories of creativity and of our constant strive for beauty.
