The Ilios series takes its name from the Greek word for sun, a word unchanged across three thousand years of language. These napkin rings are the latest chapter: forms drawn from ancient light, worked through human hands, and placed at the centre of the table where people gather. Inspired by the island of Hydra that I spent my summers going since childhood.

Each ring begins as raw material and is carved entirely by hand, a process slow enough that the maker leaves something of themselves in the finished piece.

Each first and final step happen in Athens, in the same workshop behind the Ilios jewlelery series, where gold-plating is applied by hand to each piece.

These are not objects that get put away after dinner. They are the kind of thing that stays on the table, gets noticed by guests, and ends up being inherited. Made in Athens.
