THE DESIGN STORY
The Aesop Lariat Necklace reimagines one of YSSO’s signature sculptural forms as an elongated, fluid necklace designed to fall naturally along the body.
Inspired by Aesop and the enduring tradition of Greek storytelling, but also our bestselling Aesop Cord pendant, this necklace plays with proportion, movement and form. Its open lariat construction allows the piece to be worn and adjusted in different ways, creating a silhouette that feels different with every styling.
Sculptural yet effortless, the Aesop Lariat is an object in motion - a contemporary piece of adornment rooted in YSSO’s language of Greek craft, storytelling and forms shaped by hand.
ETHOS
Produced in a family run workshop of 7 workmen and women, our pieces are exclusively carved and crafted by hand in Athens, using Ancient Greek jewellery-making techniques and silversmithing. As champions of slow production, we create only small quantities per design. If a piece is sold out you are welcome to place a pre-order, which has a three week turnaround period, for a piece to be made exclusively for you.
