Hera Hair Pin
THE DESIGN STORY
A sculptural hair pin inspired by the fluid forms of antiquity. The Hera Hair Pin is shaped by hand in Athens, with an irregular, softly contoured surface and long, undulating prongs designed to hold the hair in place.
Part functional object, part adornment, its organic silhouette brings the language of YSSO jewellery into an everyday ritual. Handcrafted in bronze and plated in recycled 18k gold.
ETHOS
Produced in a family run workshop of 7 workmen and women, our pieces are exclusively carved and crafted by hand in Athens, using Ancient Greek jewellery-making techniques and silversmithing. As champions of slow production, we create only small quantities per design. If a piece is sold out you are welcome to place a pre-order, which has a three week turnaround period, for a piece to be made exclusively for you.
