Design Notes
We don't do hoops. But we did do the Amazon hoops. We explored the interplay of structure with form in this design which feels both fresh and timeless.
I was always inspired by the stories of the Amazons in Ancient Greece - the female warriors that appeared in the Hercules tales. It was always an inspiring thing to see women being represented in the same way that men were in the ancient stories and that is why we choose to name this design after those.
The Amazon Hoops are one of the lightest earrings we have, and yet their design catches the light enough to make a statement.
ETHOS
Produced in a family run workshop of 7 workmen and women, our pieces are exclusively carved and crafted by hand in Athens, using Ancient Greek jewellery-making techniques and silversmithing. As champions of slow production, we create only small quantities per design. If a piece is sold out you are welcome to place a pre-order, which has a three week turnaround period, for a piece to be made exclusively for you.
