THE DESIGN STORY

In Greek mythology, Ariadne, daughter of the king of Crete, fell in love with the Athenian hero Theseus and, with a guiding thread or glittering jewels, helped him escape the Labyrinth after he slew the Minotaur.

Our Ariadne choker reimagines this fable through entwined, handcrafted strands, accented with a shield-like emblem and a jewel-like sphere on either end. Rendered in a gold-plated finish, the piece curves elegantly around the neck, offering a bold yet refined statement inspired by devotion, guidance, and quiet strength.

Produced in a family run workshop of 7 workmen and women, our pieces are exclusively carved and crafted by hand in Athens, using Ancient Greek jewellery-making techniques and silversmithing. As champions of slow production, we create only small quantities per design. If a piece is sold out you are welcome to place a pre-order, which has a three week turnaround period, for a piece to be made exclusively for you.
