THE DESIGN STORY

Inspired by C.P. Cavafy’s iconic poem Ithaca, this chain necklace is a quiet tribute to the beauty of the journey — not the destination. The design features a classic chain that flows into a doubled length at the base, symbolising the twists, layers, and depth one gathers along the way.
 
 Sculptural yet minimal, the gold-plated Ithaca Necklace reflects the poem’s central idea: that every experience, every detour, and every challenge adds to the richness of our arrival. The doubled chain suggests strength and duality — a visual metaphor for inner growth and outward elegance.
 
 Wear it as a reminder that life’s treasures lie not in the end, but in the path you take to get there.

Produced in a family run workshop of 7 workmen and women, our pieces are exclusively carved and crafted by hand in Athens, using Ancient Greek jewellery-making techniques and silversmithing. As champions of slow production, we create only small quantities per design. If a piece is sold out you are welcome to place a pre-order, which has a three week turnaround period, for a piece to be made exclusively for you.
