THE DESIGN STORY

The Helen Necklace is composed of a fully natural grade A lapis lazuli, a stone long admired for its deep, celestial blue and subtle white veining. Each bead carries its own natural markings, giving the necklace a quiet individuality and depth of colour.

Along the necklace appear a series of YSSO elements, bringing together different parts of the brand's sculptural vocabulary. A mix of silver and gold-toned details punctuate the lapis, while a small golden star introduces a subtle celestial symbol within the composition.

Handcrafted in Greece, the Helen Necklace balances the richness of natural stone with YSSO's signature metalwork.

Produced in a family run workshop of 7 workmen and women, our pieces are exclusively carved and crafted by hand in Athens, using Ancient Greek jewellery-making techniques and silversmithing. As champions of slow production, we create only small quantities per design. If a piece is sold out you are welcome to place a pre-order, which has a three week turnaround period, for a piece to be made exclusively for you.
